For our first site tour of the school year, we had the chance to visit @The Mill at SLCC and get an amazing tour and presentation from Beth Colosimo, the Executive Director. We also heard from two incredible guest speakers: Bella Johnson, the owner of Kalo Clinical Research , and Rick Hernandez, the founder of @Social Good Software . Throughout the visit, we learned some valuable lessons such as, "no doesn’t mean not interested". We saw the importance of being "brave enough to follow what’s best for you" and realized that "the vessel to make things happen is you". We also understood that "anyone can be an entrepreneur" and that it often takes at least three years for a business to become profitable. Trusting our judgment and believing in ourselves will be key as we move forward on our journey. Huge thank you to Beth Colosimo, Rick Hernandez, and Bella Johnson!
